Falls above Llyn Ogwen
Attempting to capture the dawn light breaking over Tryfan mountain from the waterfalls above Llyn Ogwen in Snowdonia presents the landscape photographer with a considerable challenge. You've got to be at the scene before the sun starts to rise, which means hiking up in the dark. The path starts off being well defined with large stone slabs but soon disappears into a rocky scramble with soggy moorland sections. Poor weather quickly makes the terrain quite treacherous, so care is needed.
This morning was no exception, but the light hitting the side of Tryfan made the journey worthwhile.
