Photographing the northern lights above the famous Vestrahorn mountain had for many years been one of those dream shots I would have loved to add to my portfolio. Even getting the opportunity to visit Iceland isn't a given, never mind being actually there with an active aurora.
During my 2017 visit to Iceland, Vestrahorn was naturally high on my list of locations to photograph. Upon arrival, I took a good look at the selection of aurora forecast services, all of which told me the upcoming evenings would have 'No Activity'. Well, so much for their forecasts!
Three sizes are available to buy online - A3, A2 and A1. The denoted size represents the size of the paper used and includes a 1/2" unprinted border.
I use only the best quality Fujifilm Photo Rag 300gsm paper which has a matt finish with a smooth texture.
